So I was in Chicago last month.. or was it the month before. Damn, I’m behind on printing. Anyways, this nice young German lady invited me to pizza with a bunch of the Germans from D0 at Fermilab. Fun times.

Of course, I was bugged about something I’d written and sat down with one of the Germans to help him out with his analysis. This is Bjorn. Great guy. Schwaben.
You see, poor Bjorn is an ‘expert’ when it comes to one of the detector subsystems. Detector subsystems? *shrug*
Anyways, here is, at 2am, on the phone trying to sort out an issue. We’re losing data. WE HAVE BEAM! Damnit!

More fun in the D0 control room. Tornado warning style.

This would be Yvonne, the one who organizes GERMAN PIZZA TUESDAY NIGHTS! I’m still on the mailing list. How fun. She was in charge of Data AcQuisition (DAQ), which is a lot of fun cause she’s the boss and nothing is her fault.
Ah, but anyways, we end with some ducks on the DAQ. Ducks like DAQ, ducks like DAQ. Ducks like splishy splashy in the data.
Ta ta for now!
the ducks ! :O
